Always telling the truth is an important consideration in any relationship. Agree or disagree?

I agree that telling the truth is always important in any relationship whether it is between family members or buiness partners or with co-workers. The great virtue of honesty,trustworthy and loyalty are all synonym of being true and telling truth to the other person. The relationship gets deteriorated when it lacks any of these qualities.
How one can improve these qualities? These great virtue cannot be acquired by overnight.

First of all, most of the time people lies because they are afraid of telling the failure or mistakes to their family members or supervisor. They think that hiding the fact will suprress the trouble. It may be true for short term however in long run it will demage their reputation and realtionship. It is better to tell the mistake than lies to someone. For instance, I made a mistake at work place and informed by manager about what I did. He advised to be careful in the future and guided me how to avoid the type of mistakes which I did. At the end he appreciated me for being honest and telling me the truth. This incidence helped me to improve my relationship with my boss because he can rely on what I am saying. This is what most of the employers and family members are expecting from there partners and employees.

Secondly, some people lies to their partners or public to gain unfair advantages. There are numerous politicians and corporate leaders who lied to public and ruined their public relations and career for not telling the truth. These people think that the shortcut to succeed in life is not to tell the truth all the tim. But it may not hold true for long time.

In conclusion, to establish better relationship in society or family or politics or buiness, one should gain infallible trust. The trust comes invariably from telling the truth and being true to others.
