The leader I Admire

Mohandas Gandhi

I admire Mohandas Gandhi for many reasons. The primary reason is that he fought for India's freedom. His honesty, dignity and principles which include truth,non-violence,vegetarianism,simplicity and faith, attracted millions of Indians and these followers accepted Gandhi as their leader for Indian independence movement.

Gandhi is commonly known as Mahatma for most of the people and recognized as father of the India. He was one of the greatest political and spiritual leaders in 20th century.

He not only fought against the British but also fought against other issues such as discrimination, women's rights, poverty, education and so on. Gandhi's life and teachings inspired other western leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Albert Einstein said of Gandhi: "Generation to come would scarcely believe that such a one as this walked the earth in flesh and blood".
